Now, we are for ever in debt to Ugg for the birth of the winter’s saviour: the Ugg boot. Unfortunately, however, these Ugg Australia Chestnut Dakota Moccassin Slippers are justlycra catsuit way too close to the design of the slippers my Grandmother used to pop on to watch Countryfile.

By all means, they look dangerously comfy, so much so, that I wouldn’t be surprised if you caught me accidentally walking down to dinner in them at a hotel (don’t tell me you have never done this). Even so, I am feeling stress-fully torn between my zentai suit Whitelove for comfort and their link to my Grandmother’s footwear. Surely, if I pop these on it doesn’t mean I’ve crossed the line between stylish and style-less? As long as Countryfile isn’t on that is.
Perhaps it’s just my own irrational fear of picturing these slippers with socks? If, however, these luxurious sheepskin lined slippers were teamed with, say, your favourite check pyjama trousers and an oversized t-shirt (the one with the rude saying onzentai Gold the back that you can’t wear out), and accessorized with some Nightquil – then I reckon we’d have an indoor-shoe winner.

After some consideration I’ve come to the conclusion that these slippers will be a key item on you’re A/W’11 wish-list, as well as my own. Yes, they may have some resemblance to what your nana used to wear, but that is because they are the old-school, traditional slipper style, that we should embrace and love. Just think of them as an inside, comfier brogue without laces.
